Most Expected Smartphones That Will Be Powered by Snapdragon 845 SoC in 2018

Qualcomm recently announced top-of-the-line Snapdragon 845 chipset, and by now, it’s pretty much clear that most of the flagship chipsets in 2018 will make use of the flagship chipset. A new report from China allegedly revealed the smartphones to be powered by the Snapdragon 845 chipset for the entire 2018. There are some interesting names on the list alongside the already expected ones.

As the image shows, the first smartphone to launch with Snapdragon 845 SoC is the Samsung Galaxy S9 duo. In some regions, Samsung will launch the Snapdragon variant of the Galaxy S9 and S9+, while in some regions, the devices will come with Exynos chip under the hood. Following Samsung would be another South Korean smartphone brand LG, which is expected to release the LG G7 at the MWC 2018 event. So, Samsung may announce the Galaxy S9 and S9+ at the MWC 2018 event itself.
Xiaomi has already confirmed that its 2017 first flagship will come with Snapdragon 845 SoC, and the list also says the same. After Samsung and LG, Xiaomi will unveil the Mi 7 in April (if it follows the last year’s trend). After Xiaomi, HTC will launch the U12 smartphone in May as a successor to the HTC U11 Plus smartphone.
The most interesting smartphone would be the OnePlus 6, and yes, the list has the device’s name and it will come with Snapdragon 845 chipset. OnePlus might launch the OnePlus 6 in June 2018, which is the same month two more smartphones from different brands rumoured to launch Snapdragon 845 SoC smartphones- Nubia and Sony. Nubia will be launching its flagship device, the Nubia Z18, while Sony is expected to launch Sony Xperia XZ Pro-A. Sony’ smartphone name is surprising as the brand already sent out media invites for an event at the CES 2018 where it’s expected to launch a Snapdragon 845 SoC smartphone.
Samsung will launch the Galaxy Note 9 with Snapdragon 845 SoC, which would be the company’s third smartphone with the said SoC. In September, Xiaomi and LG will announce their second Snapdragon 845 SoC smartphones- the Mi Mix 3 and LG V40. And in October 2018, Google will launch the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL, Nubia rumoured to announce the Nubia Z18S, and Sony would be launching the Sony Xperia XZ2. HTC will end the year yet again with a successor to its first flagship device in the form of HTC U12+.
The list also suggests that Motorola will launch its flagship phone in November 2018. And yes, OnePlus is said to come with OnePlus 6T yet again. The last phone in the list is the Samsung W2019 flip phone with Snapdragon 845 SoC.
There are surprising names in the list, and at the same time, some major omissions as well. The information provided in this leak may not be accurate, but it at least gives us an idea on which smartphones will be powered by the Snapdragon 845 SoC in 2018.
